If you find yourself driving down HWY 395 S. near Bridgeport, California, we definitely recommend stopping here for a dip in the hot springs. GPS 38.252,-119.208
You can even boon-dock/dry camp here. See notes on Boon-docking page.
The park is northeast of Redding, six miles north of Highway 299 on Highway 89 near Burney. The waterfall is within the McArthur Burney Falls Memorial State Park in Shasta County. There's also a campground with RV hook-ups, boating, rentals and places to hike. We took a 4 mile hike down to the falls and it is gorgeous. Bring your hiking boots because once you get to the falls there are many rocks. Fun fact, the PCT Pacific Crest Trail runs through the park.
If your planning a trip to Washington D.C., a must see & do is visiting the Senate while in session. While we were there we got to see Senator Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer give speeches on the wild fires in San Diego, CA.
If your visiting Washington DC, we recommend seeing Arlington National Cemetery and the changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier. They also offer a guided tour bus around the cemetery with knowledgeable drivers. Out of respect we did not take any pictures there.

In Morro Bay is Giovanni's fish market and galley and they have the best fried calamari we've ever tasted. Next door is the fish market where you can purchase fresh fish or have it delivered to your home. Overnight home delivery anywhere in the USA.
We visited Hearst Castle in San Simeon on our way to Morro Bay. There are so many tours to chose from and we decided on the Upstairs Suites Tour because it included Mr. Hearst private suite and what a surprise that was. He had a pair of pink satin pajama's hanging in his closet! The whole castle is stunning and a must see & do.

We enjoyed learning about the history at the visitor center/museum and also took a self-guided audio tour of the Gettysburg battlefield from inside our RV. It was great because we were able to take our time and stop if something interested us along the drive. We downloaded the app from google play store.

We stopped here because Dean loves Studebaker cars and this museum has a large inventory of Studebaker's, showcasing the early development on how they came to be. We also saw Abraham Lincolns Studebaker carriage that he drove himself on that fateful night to the Ford Theater.
Fried catfish and jazz! So many neat places to eat great southern food. A must see and do on our list when your traveling through Memphis TN.
If you ever want to be in four states at once, this is the place. Just know that during the summer it gets extremely hot here standing in line to go into the center for your photo op where all 4 states connect.

This has got to be one of the most heart wrenching museums we ever been too. With a hard lump in my throat from the beginning of the tour, just couldn't make it to the end of the tour without crying.

Recently we've been watching shows on prospecting for gold and thought it will be fun to try it out ourselves. We stopped in at Sunny Mountain Prospecting in Colorado Springs and picked up a few supplies. Check out our Youtube channel to see our progress.
We never had Bison meat before and wanted to try it. We ate at the Bear Pit Restaurant inside the Old Faithful Inn after touring the famous Crows nest. If you don't want to walk to the Old Faithful Geyser, on the top floor you can watch it from the outside deck. Dean had the Bison Burger and I had the Bison Sausage wrapped in a pretzel bun. Both were soooo good!
In San Diego, there are only 4 dog beaches where you can take your dog unleashed.
Ocean Beach at Dog Beach
Coronado Dog Beach
North Beach at Del Mar
Cardiff State Beach
The rest I found required leashes, if you know of any please let me know.
This was as much as it erupted while we were at Yellowstone National Park
Pismo beach dunes 4-wheeling in our little Suzuki near the water. The sand in the actual dunes looked too much for our thin tires.
