We chose to stay here because it was the only campground close to Washington DC with hook-ups. Our campsite #3 was slightly leveled. Each site was a good distance away from each other.
One of the neat things about this campground was a welcome package we received when checking in. It provided names and locations of where different facilities, restaurants, laundromats, Vet clinics, basically the essentials and they included a map. Next time we visit Washington DC, we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at campsite #5 and it was very secluded. I didn't think we would have satellite service because of the tall trees around us but we did! The campsite was very level and we didn't need to break out the boards.
This was a quiet place to rest for the night. If your ever in Virginia, I highly recommend Jeb Fort Story famcamp. And while here, enjoy a meal in town at CP Shuckers.

STRICT RULES ENFORCED
Dogs must always be accompanied when outdoors and never left unattended.
No bird or animal feeders outside.
Children 12 & under must be accompanied at all times.
There are lots of wildlife in the park including bears.
Originally we were at campsite #21 but it was congested with other campers extra vehicles and even a tent close by. We asked to move to site #25 which was a lot nicer. All campsites have a picnic table and BBQ grill. There's a lot of fun things to do here. One of them is fishing.
We went to the FamCamp office to purchase a daily fishing license and picked up a lake map. We went to Kettle Lakes around noon and within an hour, caught a nice size Rainbow trout. He was yummy :) We had a great time here and recommend this campsite to anyone visiting Colorado Springs. Due to all the wild animals in the area, be cautious and read all the restrictions in the welcome packet.

13 Spaces and if your RV is short in length, you can park parallel to the water. Our RV is 25 ft. long and we did just that.
At night the views were gorgeous looking out our house door and kitchen window. We even saw a Caribbean cruise ship sail by. Lots of boats cruising in the harbor heading out to fish.
The parking spots are pretty narrow, I recommend calling ahead of time to see if your RV or Trailer would fit.
Check in 12p - check out 11am. I was fortunate to get a same day booking here. This is a new campsite just recently opened up in 2018. The Navy Seals used to train here and when the program was relocated, that's when they decided to let RV's camp here. Down the street is my favorite, Mitch's Seafood and H&M landing if your interested in fishing.

We were in site 24 on the corner next to the public bathrooms and had a lot of traffic.
You can not chose your campsite when making reservations, they let you know where they will put you.
You will need to enter the Marine base to get to this campground.
This campground is huge, offering cottages to stay in and tent camping on the beach.
Our campsite was named Surfers Paradise and every morning all the surfers would come out. There must of been 50 in the water east of us and 50 surfers west of us. In front of our site were concrete borders warning of the riptides. On the map it is listed as decal parking but nobody parked along side it. However, on the other side of us at "Palm Tree lane", there were many people parked in front of the RV's enjoying a day at the beach. The huge class A's had there own spot 3rd level up with pull through sites. 2nd level up were the cottages. People were fishing in the ocean and catching a variety of fish. We loved staying at this campground.

Pets are allowed but on the map there are many places you can't take your dog too. Pets are not allowed near the lodges, sand dunes, pavilion, etc., if caught there is a $75.00 charge.
Our first night, we dry camped because all of the RV sites were taken.
The laundry facilities had poorly operated washers and dryers. I spent 20 buck on one load of a medium filled dryer. Also, near the waterway is alligators so be careful of walking around at night and keep your pet indoors at night. The RV campground was a humid marshy feel in the month of February. I got bit by some weird spider than swelled up huge with an awful rash on my arm. My husband took me to the base hospital and was given anti-biotics. We stayed at this place for a few days because my daughter and son in law were living nearby. We have decided never to return to this Military campground.

We stayed at Battleship Row site 29 and even though we didn't have a water front site, the campsites are spaced out so we were able to see the ocean. This RV park was neat and we were told the Blue Angels practice their maneuvers near the campground. There is so much to do at this RV park. There is fishing at the pier, paintball field, golf course, hiking, sailing, paddleboard, biking, geocashing and you can rent most of anything you want to do.
Next time we come back, we plan on renting some paddle boards and paintball equipment. We rate this place 10 stars and recommend a stay here. Remember that hurricane season begins in June.

I noticed that some website reviews are saying both RV parks, Pelican and Osprey are located in Jacksonville, FL. Only Osprey cove is. To get clarification on driving directions, call Navy Beds at: 877-628-9233.
We stayed at site 11 with a water front view and it was gorgeous. In the morning we saw lots of people fishing and crabbing over the rocky edge into the water. One man was using chicken legs and caught a bunch of crabs. We went to the annex and bought a net, chicken legs and tried to catch crabs ourselves. The drop off to the water was deep and we needed a longer pole for the net but couldn't find one. We ate lunch at Safe Harbor Restaurant in Mayport and it was fantastic.
Everyone at this campground was friendly and my first time ever, washing clothes for free at a Famcamp. They also had a free Ice station. We had so much fun and enjoyed trying to crab and take walks on Neptune beach. Keep your eyes out for little Jelly fishes near the ocean shore.
We definitely will be back again.

No cooking on picnic tables, must use provided grills. No open fires. Guidelines for the park states "Due to wind conditions in the El Paso area, it is advised awnings not be left out."
It was very windy during our stay in the RV park. They also had a 2 dog minimum for RV's. The park offers weekly rates as well and we noticed some 5th wheels/ trailers were long term stay by the patio furniture set up in the campsite.
Our site was #68 and we had a bright light shining in our bedroom windows all night. We had other light issues when boondocking at a Cracker Barrel which led to our decision to change out the bedroom blinds and all the blinds in the RV with black out blinds.
The welcome booklet offers a variety of Points of Interest and things to do while staying in El Paso. Some include Old FT. Bliss replica museum, Tigua Indian Reservation, El Paso Museum of History and many others. This park was very clean and had beautiful sunsets. We definitely would stay here again.
